That is an excellent build and a well written thread!

If you are ever wanting to save the pics you lost, there are places on line you can find that you can send bad hard drives to. They will pull all the data off and send it back on another hard drive. I had to do it last year. cost $800.

Thanks. Didn't know about the hard drive retrieval services, I'll check it out. I see you're from Tulsa, we were in Broken Arrow '80'-'81'.

I lived in Broken Arrow at that time too. Had the same jeep then. What were you doing in BA?

Went to Rhema Bible Training Center. Worked as a finish carpenter while going to school. Learned all the back roads from Tulsa to Broken Arrow. Did a job up at Grand Lake (lake of the Cherokees), pretty cool area. Good fishing.

Yep, I knew many Rhema students. I worked at a restaurant right down the road from Rhema during that time period, probably waved to you if you were in a jeep! Things have changed here a bunch since then. There is no "in between" Tulsa and BA anymore, pretty much all grown together.

I'll keep watching your build progress!

Really enjoyed looking at "Your" build pics. Great job. I am about to start my cj5.

Thanks, when I started this project I had no idea how long it would take. Of course it took longer than I thought. But, I just kept at it (sometimes with long breaks in between and sometimes with marathons).
All in all it was a rewarding experience. I would have done some things differently now that I look back, but hey it's just a hunting rig.
Looking forward to your build (remember to back up your pics).
