"Can I connect a mechanical oil pressure gauge here where this electrics sender is. "

Put a tee fitting in there and you can have both - a warning light and a gauge.

Does anyone have a Paint COLOR Chart I can show Alyssa?

The ones I have found are to small to see clearly.

    Thanks,
    Jim

THis Spartan system works well, I have one. It goes back to neutral automatic.
Only problem, difficult to hear the signal when it is in action.
I suggest to add a beeper like on motocycles.
    So you hear better.
This is what I did for my father when he had problems of hearing.

Just considering this option for my daughter.

Info and a diagram to change out the generator w/an alternator.

Not sure how to wire it/what these wires do in relation to the generator.

Then we have the regulator which needs to be by-passed etc.

Will keep old parts for future and probably keep the regulator on the fire wall for looks.

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Wire colors:
    Red
    Pink -looks like ground
    Brown

Question on the MC bracket. When removing the MCylinder, are the nuts welded on the back side of the bracket?

If not then this would pose a problem unless someone can explain how to get to the forward nut.

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Master Cylinder electrical question.

    View the pick below.

Looks like the PO removed the black wire and ran this red wire to the back.

Is this black wire/plug-in hooked to the MC switch to complete the circuit.

The last pic you can see the black plug-in.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Question, does this leak indicate a RMSeal leak ?

    Very minimal, but does leak.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Question, where can Alyssa but a soft top & doors for her year Jeep.

Not canvas unless it is cheaper.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Switch should have a hot wire coming in to one side, and an out-feed to the brake lights on the other. I'd start by identifying which is which, although you say the red goes 'to the back' I usually use red for hot circuits.

From the pics it appears the PO bypassed one of these and pulled the original connector off of the switch. Maybe a broken or shorted wire?

You could try reversing the modification, see what happens in original configuration.

    Sounds like a plan.

Question, are there any fuses on this Jeep that I should know about?

Looked under the dash but not real hard.

    Thanks,
    Jim

The stop switch should have one wire hot all the time and that one normally comes from the circuit breaker mounted on the back of the head-light switch (same as a fuse) where the CB mounts to the light switch. The other wire on the stop switch goes up to the turn signal switch. If you have a wire going from the master-cylinder stop switch towards the back then it may connect to a second stop switch but not to the lights. System won't work that way.

Thank you-I am going to OHM the black one out today and follow the red wire.

I don't have turn signals though-maybe that's why the red goes to the rear.

    Will update.

    Thanks,
    Jim

So I should have power to both sides of the circuit breaker at all times then. Will check.

Yes. The wire to the brake switch should mount to the terminal that holds the circuit breaker to the light switch, and as you know, you are required by most states to have turn signals whether it came originally without or not.I believe all 65 factory wire looms came with T-sig capability.

Here is what I'm looking at, at the rear of the Jeep/wires going to the break lights.

Now I know the breaker is working cause I have running lights.

So in the pic you will see the PO has the RED wire from the MC Switch to feed the brake lights and there are TWO wires cut. MAYBE those two wires are for turn signals.

    Two wires not feeding anything.

    Red wire feeding lights.

These must be ground or ?

P.S. looking at the MC, it looks like it is going to be a pain to get out.

Could be a bad switch as well-will replace when I get the MC and then go from there I guess.

Nothing like having an old laptop in the garage w/internet :)

    Help searching stuff.

I took off the rear tail light lens and I found a duel 1157 bulb.
