Looking to identify this. Can anyone help tell me what it came off of? Or a value?

Not sure if it works or not.

It is indeed a '55 year only King Seeley "Silver Face".

    Got one in Tonk.

Yeah thats the thing.. I don't need it. I dont think the gas gauge works. Pretty sure the spedo does.

What do you think it's worth?

It's sort of like selling a Jeep. You get what the buyer will pay. Being a one year production I would imagine somebody that is restoring that year Jeep would pony up some bucks for it and I have no idea how much that would be, actually never seen one for sale that I remember.

On M38A1 the instruments are radium painted and significantly radioactive.

It's the same cluster as used in the Willys Aero cars--1952 to 1955.
Find someone who needs it, and it is worth something.
Not too much demand for parts for those cars.

I bought one for my 55 off of eBay for $35 shipped. They are out there you just have to keep your eyes open.

I don't think $100 would be out of line if it works and the needle is intact. But that's just my opinion.

I have a few King Seeley speedos like the one pictured. I've picked up ones in your condition for $15 and $20 off ebay. I have a real nice one that I gave $40 for. The needle should be a translucent plastic in bright orange, and all those dots on the inner silver area should be bright orange.
These were also used on the '55 (maybe '56 also) pickups and wagons which is where the bargains come from because these other models were much more plentiful.
