Yes with full drums! Well they also plumbed the temperature gauge for the most part wrong on every 70 and 71 model v6 jeep.

Yes jeep did it the other way.

so ,,,,, before I bends lines again I should just leave them backwards from what every book I have says ..... this is a 59 frame mount with full drums going to chevy disc 11'' drums rear

No once you throw disks in there you will need the largest reservoir piped to your disks. The drums require nowhere near the volume of the disks.

Yes I had the stock 71 dual MC and added disk brakes to the front back in 2006, I plumbed my disk to the large well and the small well to the rear drum brakes. With the appropriate RPV valves and no proportioning valve. But I originally had the disk plumbed like the factory drum set up and it wouldn’t hardly drag the disks, let alone stop them. After swapping like I said above, it stops great.

why I ask again is that goes against findings in Fockers disc brake tutorial post

I'm going to compile the required MC information into a separate locked sticky thread, similar to what I did here -

Looks great. BTW Herm sells banjo fittings that saves a little room coming out of the MC.I did a dual conversion and it was tight. Yours looks like you have more space. mike

I did a front disk to drum, used a Wildwood MC kit from R&P. Got the reservoirs on the firewall. I bleed the brakes and the Jeep is still on jack stands, I have a good firm feel in the pedal. Had to change the plumbing once saw the picture. I just ran the front brakes to the closet outlet on the MC which was the 2nd one.

so you ended up with your front brakes are run off the 2nd port away from the plunger ?
and did you still use the drum /drum master ?

When I first installed the brake lines, I used the 2nd port. After seeing Fockers post, the picture, and reading other post, I changed them. The front brake line for the disk brakes now comes off of the rear outlet. The lines are now run in the outlets as noted in the picture in post #35 link.

The master I got was a drum/drum master cylinder and it came with a 2lb thing. Took the 10 lb out and put the 2lb in for the disk brakes.
