    Good day,

    I konw there are a lot of threads about tis. But counld not find my answer. Therefore;

My new gauge should be wired differently ( se picture attached) It is a new one. Quadratec says there should be 12 volt on the bridge.

Question; The other to the sender( which one, and the third , I dont konw, ground??).

But then I have 12 volt to the temp and that is I think to much.

Question; do I need the same omix temp meter and will it bee 12 volt?

Question; when 12 volt on the bridge and when other 2 wires are solved( sender and ground??) Can I use an IC 5 volt for the temp.

    Tank you

    Regards
    Ewoud

Are talking about yours being circular, vs circular with segment missing?
Does the gauge fit the cluster properly". If not it may the wrong gauge for your cluster.
What year is your jeep and what is the battery voltage?

Yes, it fits perfect. And it is working, only there is 12 v comming out. As you see on the picture there is no grond at the back of the gauge. The box says cj from 55-86. Without the bridge it is working. I try An IC for the template gauge with 5v. My Jeep is An 1969 cj5 v6

I used an ic voltage regulator for mine. I used it for both gauges but you should be able to use the 5v ic for just the temp gauge

    Hi,

I did install an IC 5 v for the temp gauge and it works. I now see how long it will hold :)

Should it make any difference that it is an 12 volt gauge for the sender? original the gauge is reduced to 5 v. Now I hava a 12 v gauge with the same sender.

Please tell me more about this "IC 5V" thing. What is it? Where was it connected? Is that what factory did, or a way to make these gauges work? Thanks.

It is feed with 12 v and gives 5 volt. So no internal regulator anymore. You put it on the bridge. see picture( picture is from this forum, not mine). But I installed it and it works. The number of the IC (7805)is international appears. I asked for it at my loclal electronic shop and he grabed it in a second.

Yea, its just an integrated circuit that regulates the voltage to 5v.
The picture juffer linked to above is the back of my cluster. It has 12v in, ground, and 5v output.
You put the 5v on the bridge bar, and leave the 12v battery feed off the gauge where its supposed to go.
