From an aesthetic standpoint, I think the 31s and a 1" lift look about perfect. I'm thinking about pulling a couple leaves from the springs on the '69 to soften it up and lower it a bit.

31” tires really fill up the wheel well... Looks good and that some great flex from stock springs...

[IMG] And the wife’s ride with 2 inch bds and a 1/2 body lift (to clear the glass tub) it also runs one inch spacers as the narrow track made for a sketchy ride.

Some pics of my '74 rig with 31's and stock spring on stock slots but dont now the wheel width. I like Fireballs combo on the '69 so I'll probably go with a 2.5" lift when I get to that point.

It's not a direct comparison, but here's mine with 2.5" YJ springs a 1" body lift and 31 inch tires. My axles are wider also. My take is it needs 33s to look right.

2.5” Skyjacker lift with factory 15” slots and 31x10.5” tires. I added a picture with the factory springs. I think the body has a small lift as well, but not certain. I just did the new lift and expect it to settle in almost an inch. The old springs and shocks were shot. I’d like to stick with the 31” tires, so hoping it settles in a bit.
