I too think the red one is the better choice. Agree with Ron, hardtop makes it more appealing and all weather friendly.

Looking at the red one tomorrow at 11am. If it is truly a Rubicon we agreed on 13k. I need to get cash but can't until Tuesday. Hopefully it will be in my driveway Tuesday night.

Cool! Let's hope it's as nice in person as it appears to be in the pictures.

I hope so. The guy told me he is getting a bunch of calls but I'm first in line.

Good Luck - if I bought a newer jeep (TJ/JK/JL), and had any intention of using it as a DD, I would get a hardtop with AC. I too like the red one....

I just purchased the red 2004 Rubicon. Dana 44 front and rear, rear locker and 4:1 transfer case. I put down $500 and need to get a cashiers check for the difference on Tuesday and it will be mine. I'll get some pics when it is here.

Thanks everyone. I can't wait to get it home. It has 32x11.5 BFG mud terrains, no lift and s Smittybuilt 9500 winch. Short term I would like to get rock sliders with a step, rear bumper/tire carrier and new front bumper. This will take plenty of patience on my part, I can't do it all at once. Someday maybe a lift and 33's or 35's.

This was the sellers Dad's rig. He drove it for about 1 year and put only 1,000 miles on it. Unfortunately he has Parkinson's and can no longer drive. It was stored in a barn for the last 5 years. They had it gone over by a professional mechanic (with receipts) last month. The dad's son and daughter are selling it for him. The son is in Arkansas and I talked to him Sat morning. He and I hit it off. He told his sister he trusted me and to give me first shot. I met with the sister and her husband yesterday. Great people and they were happy to see the Jeep going to someone that will enjoy it. I told them I have a history with Jeeps and plan to keep it until I can't drive any longer.

It's in my driveway but too dark for pics.
I want to figure out axle ratio and found this on the tag.

The PO spent $2,000 on service and repairs right before they put it up for sale. New track arm and all new tie rod ends. New battery on 8/10/20.
