Oh yeah, you are correct I was thinking about a d-18 not the d-20. Sorry. I would need to study a diagram of a D-20 myself to determine which one to remove.

Went to bed Friday night. No snow whatsoever. Woke up Saturday morning to 7" of snow. My Harbor Freight jeep canopy collapsed during the night.

My wife and I took the jeep in the back out for a drive in the snow. I realize this is an everyday event for many people, but around Seattle, it only snows once a year or every other year, so it causes total chaos.

You can see the 2 caps over the capsules, or shift interlocks.
Which one gets me 2wd Lo range?
I think the other one is to keep from shifting the front in Hi, and the rear in Lo, or vice versus, correct?

One of the regional Jeep Clubs setup a kind of taxi service for First Responders and Health Care workers that didn't have the means to get to work or didn't feel comfortable driving in it. I went and picked up a dispatcher from the local PD and took her home at shift change using the XJ.

Started er up for the first time in a little while.
Fired right up. Needs timing and idle set but I had to call it a night. I'm really excited it ran as it did i was really expecting it to hit once or twice and just prove everything is hooked up.

I was able to finish my wheelhouse notches, weld up a bunch of holes in the tub, install new rear bump stops, and remove my muffler preparatory to the rear tank install. Tomorrow I am going to start mounting the Subaru seats!

I went out in the garage and looked at mine, scrapped the old rtv off the 66's transfercase pan. One of these days it'll get resealed.

Not what I did “to” my Jeep today, but what I did “for” my Jeep. Built a rack to hold the doors over the summer. Most of the metal was old bed frames and rebar. The “hinges” are made from 1/2” steel pipe with 1/2” pex pipe stuffed inside. I flared the ends of the pex by heating on the kitchen stove and then smooshing it down before it cooled. Holds 6 doors: 2 for my TJ and 4 for the JKU.

I tossed the 3B together late this afternoon so I could claim driving on snow/ice and test out the recent mods. I went to the gas station first to fill up then an empty parking lot and did some ice drifting. Glad I got that out of my system. :D

It was an eventful night/morning. I took off the windshield so I could see where I was going and went out for another drive. Made it to the new Continental tire plant and right after taking this picture, I heard the sound of an 18 wheeler lock up its brakes and drove further down the frontage road to investigate. I pulled over and asked if he was alright and he was so I started on my way back home. I had pulled a few limbs out of the road already and had to drive over a couple of saplings. Almost home I saw a larger tree in the road and an 18 wheeler pulled up to it. I walked around and told him I could try to pull it out of the road. He gave me a couple of straps and I managed to drag it 2 feet but it was still rooted. Luckily about 40 minutes later after we had started to cut into the tree with nothing but a claw hammer, a guy I know from the local PD shows up and I give him the rundown. His Lieutenant showed up about 30 minutes later and he sawed the tree into 3 parts and I dragged each out of the road. They were impressed with the little ol' 3B and the 18 wheeler driver thanked me then went on his way to deliver some Dr. Pepper to the Gulf States canners down the road.
