Is this still working? any leaking?

It sure is a PITA to work around, even changing the plugs is lots more difficult.

Can I simply remove my pump from the reservoir and bolt it to the existing PS mount? I'm guessing not as the return must go into the reservoir then get picked up by the pump inside ???

This is a fascinating thread! 10+ years ago, when I put in PS & PB, about the only option was to move the brake MC outboard similar to the later ('76-'83) factory CJ5 arrangement. That's what I did.
I maintained my forward dump 225 drivers exhaust manifold due to PO Saginaw steering box mount modification. I had to use a high PS pump bracket, like you have.
But I had to heat and bend the brake & clutch arms under the dash to operate with the original location of the steering column.

I hope you can figure out a workable solution to keep BOTH PS & PB!
    You will be pleased.

Hence the reason my pedals are still through the floor and using the stock (well, mostly stock) bracketry. Less aggravation when doing something like changing plugs.

Now let’s compare changing master cylinders. :D

I agree. You could be on to something . From his pic, it appears that his existing MC may be a bit long in the tooth......Doesn't it ???? :D

Just move the floor mat out of the way and it's right there.

Heh, it's not the worst thing in the world, but yeah, it's more difficult, but I change plugs more than I change Master Cylinders =P

Hell, I'm pretty sure my master cylinder is the original one from 1970

I understand now that your set-up is because of your Clutch. Sorry, I get a bit focused on my Auto .
I see now why other's suggested removing the Banjo style reservoir & going with a remote. I couldn't spend that kinda money that I've seen here, though. Some Fabrication , such as some other's have suggested, would be in order .

Your very first idea to cut the neck off of your existing reservoir & Weld it close sty lie is the way to go . The PS fluid is no where needed to be up that high anyhow. That would allow it to pivot underneath your MC & you could still get the cap off & on periodically. Cheap Fix & No plumbing work needed .
Then , after that , you'll just need a 2' stepladder to work in your engine Bay.

Looking at the photo on Brennen’s Garage sold me as my power brakes uses an offset bracket similar to what Tim showed and this solution is bolt on, lower cap for lower fill. Does not hit fender skirt and cap is below top of valve cover.

Keep both PS and PB !

The pedal assemble and brake system on my CJ is from a 1995 Jeep YJ, Anyone know if the '95 YJ came with Non-power brakes? Could I just swap in a nonpowered MC in on the same pedal assembly?
