I pulled the Mustang 4 speed and Dana 18 out of the Jeep today.
Laying on the shop floor you can see the difference
The NP435 with the Land Rover LT230 T/C was a tight fit, but it's in there and bolted to the engine.
Tomorrow I start on the cross member mounts, Exhaust Y pipe and drive shafts.

Pretty much finished working on the trailer, so I decided to tear into the M20 axle that I have replaced 3 driver rear axle bearings and shafts. the bearing was destroyed but the axle has survived. The surprise was when I opened the diff.

I'm getting close to finishing up the NP435 Granny trans and Rover LT230 T/C install. I modified the floor tunnel that I had made for the Hurst/Mustang 4 speed. I added a new hole for the NP435 shift tower.
Heated and bent the LT230 shift levers to fit the hole the Dana 18 twin stick used. I bought a Freightliner boot so I wouldn't have to build a raised box for the shift tower.
The installed the Land Rover Parking brake handle in the Husrt shifter hole and boot.
I think it looks better and more complete.

Glistening big blocks, and they both had a beer can covering the coil.
    Just in honor of them…

I got in the Jeep to drive to work today and when I got to the first stop sign I stepped on the brakes and rolled straight thru!! I had maybe 10% brakes. Turned around and parked her for the day.

Stop sign is in my neighborhood and it’s all flat for miles around here. But still could have been bad if someone was expecting me to stop.
Not sure. We bled the rear. Never disconnected the front so I didn’t bleed. Tonight we bled all four and all is well again.

Been doing some painting on exterior components like the hood and tailgate hinges, headlight bezel, rock guards etc. I base coated all of these with Chassis Saver, and used Rust-o-leum Enamel as a top coat. The first 2 coats of enamel went on awesome, but today not so much, sprayed to close and got wrinkles, Damn that was the last coat too:mad:
Then I moved on the the first coat of Chassis Saver to the frame
