Does anyone sell these nuts? The kind for floor panels that are captured inside a sheet metal pocket? I don't know what the term for them is so I'm having a hard time finding anything. I'm looking for both the nut and the thing that holds it

    I searched "1/4 cage nuts"
How many do you need? If its just a few I'll mail you some free.

My local ace had them in Denver.... haven't checked specifically here in Bozeman yet, but expect they do as it seems pretty equivalent hardware collection.

Another option for applications that don't need to be perfectly flush is the nutzert.

I use these all the time for such things as attaching tool boxes, various things to the quads, tractor, etc.... You can score a complete kit including the installer on Amazon for about 80 bucks.

If your local hardware store doesn’t have them, Amazon has 1/4 cage nuts $9 for 20 generic brand or $16 for 20 Hillman brand

Maybe not. How far is the hardware store and do they actually have them?
eBay is $5.35 & free shipping for 20 of 'em.

I just ordered 25 pcs 1/4" cage nuts off amazon for under $10. Free shipping. I also ordered the proper Sems replacement bolts. Qty 50 of those was $18.50.

Thanks for the replies. I needed about 20 so I ordered a pack of the caged nuts and also the Sems bolts. Would the bolt heads have been painted from the factory? Not sure if I should spray them or not.
