Snowshoe is now officially an emergency vehicle! I put some strobes on today.

Just a little change of plans with snowshoe. Yes, I will still use it in the snow, but it will be used for other things as well. :sneak:

I took the top off today and snowshoe looks so strange without it!

I don’t know what it is about that Jeep, but it pushes all of my buttons!

Major progress today. Used the freebie forklift to put the top back on.

    Looks sooo much better now!

And after installing the glass (glad I have all the tools to do that!) and a good cleaning. The doors shut much better now and the whole top feels better. The old one was really rotted out where the sides bolt to the roof and where it mounted to the tub.

No, I had to modify the fronts to work on the jeep.

All the snow is gone for the moment, so that gave me some time to work on Snowshoe a bit. I finally got all the matching gauges for it.

And I installed 12v defroster fan to help keep the rear windows clear.

I also had to swap out the speaker in the dash because it blew up. You would think a 60+ year old speaker would work. The new ones sound so much better! Yes, I put on on the driver's side as well. I also really like the radio in the glove box. I downloaded an app to my phone to make it into a remote for the radio. Makes that easier!

Some more on the speaker install. The one in the dash was easy. Drilled 4 new holes and bolted the speaker in. Done.

The driver's side was a bit more tricky. I had it stuck to the cowl, but I knew it would fall on a bump. But I had a crafty idea to mount it today. I made some clips up that clipped to the body seam. I used 1" galvanized HVAC strapping. Easy to bend and work with.

And it worked perfectly! Nice and rigid.

I like that you kept the old speaker grill.
