Full Float Lockouts Unlocking

I am currently picking together a full floating Dana 44 for my Heep. I owned a Warn full floater a few years ago in a flat fender and it had Allen screws that could be tightened down to keep the hubs from unlocking. I would like to do something similar but cannot remember exactly where or how the set screw was installed. If any of you have info on this or a better remedy I would appreciate the advice.

That is exactly what I needed. Thank you sir!
I see your handle is fyrmn, does that mean you are a firefighter? I retired from the job about 5 years ago and sure do miss it.

I have the Warn full floater without the set screws. It also came with an optional sleeve that went inside that I did not put in.
It may be to help the hub from unlocking on its own. Someday i will look in to using the set screws. If anything it would keep
someone from unlocking the hubs. Just another project.

I also have the Warn FF, and unlocking has never been a problem, unless I count the wise acre in camp that thinks it's funny on getaway day.

That was what I was thinking. An allen wrench would slow them down. Did your hubs come with a sleeve? I am not sure how it worked and was a long time ago,
though I still have them. It seems those hubs are harder to find these days. I believe they are similar to the Broncos with a different spline count?

Any chance that you have a picture of these sleeves ?

These are Warn hub #36655 same as the other pics posted. I am not sure if this is the sleeve in question?

Interesting. I guess I am just not sure how they are supposed to work. Anyone out there that can enlighten me ?

That looks correct. Something like a short piece of conduit. Not sure how it works or what it does. To be honest...I didn't try that hard.
Looks like they may take up some slack to prevent a loose fit and movement internally.

I don't know of a sleeve. I have had these for 30 years, and they have been flawless. I wouldn't use them on a Rubicon jeep, but for flat towing they are awesome. And they are hard to find now, with Warn getting out of the early jeep business.

I am going with 30 spline axles that won't pass through the spindle so it will be easier to just unlock them if an axle breaks. Also, I may flat tow from time to time.
