Not sure if you've done it yet but crawl under the jeep and take another vid. Like others have said, get a wood dowel or stethoscope, go top to bottom front to back. Its hard for us to zero in on a sound through a youtube vid and will be way easier to diagnose one you've located the problem area haha.
It could be anything heavy/metalic bouncing around. the exhaust pipes for instance. Or the clutch or the transmission or even the battery box being loose.

A three foot length of wood dowel held against the block in different locations is as good as having x-ray vision. If it's a main bearing for instance, you'll even be able to tell which one.

But also, yes, check for the exhaust pipe hitting the chassis, or whatever.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

Try running the engine with the fan belt removed.
Would eliminate water pump, generator etc.

What are the condition of your motor mounts?

It would be a good idea to check the oil pressure before continuing much further.

This X20. A cheap oil pressure guage from the auto parts store could end up saving you a lot of money.

Replying to myself.... The oil pump is definitely pumping some oil since it's filling up the filer and squeezing out past the gasket. It still wouldn't hurt to know what the pressure is.

    Where is the pressure located.

There is a port to the oil gallery at the lower rear driver-side of the f-134 block. Often the accelerator linkage spring is anchored there.

Strange - I've never once had a leak there in 50 years of F-heads.

Generator bearing is bad or the shive is loose on the shaft.

On the lighter side... forgive me.

This is a good suggestion. When I was poking around last night I found that the fan belt was very tight and I think that can wear out those bearings. Will loosening the fan help diagnose? Or would I just need to replace that part?

I'm pretty confident it is not a frequency that matches the timing assembly.

What is the ambient temperature with these runs?

Next step is to check oil pressure.
When you run it to check oil pressure, have the fan belt removed.

I think an oil pressure reading will tell us a lot but if you have a vacuum guage it will also help paint the picture.

It has been between 40-30 F here the last few days, so it's been cooler.

I'm interested to try running it without the belt on, but I'll need a few days to get set up for a pressure reading. Thank you for taking a look!

Yeah wait for a warmer day, that's pretty thick oil for those temps.
I am having 2nd thoughts on how the motor was quiet after oil was poured on the rocker assembly then noisy again when it wore off.

My gut is telling me it needs some 5 or 10w30. If this is true the guage will see Abby normal pressures.

Did the oil supply line at the rear of the head get pinched or smashed ?
    Is it plugged ?
