Fixed: V6 Cutting out at cruising speeds?

    Ok, you're right, Lynn was warm with the intake grinding and vacuum leak but that wasn't it.

    You used 3 different carbs...........guessing they were all tighted down......gaskets used............intake was hot tanked...........you replaced the intake.........was cracked at the carb mount?

    You were using that big, thick, air leaking carb gasket, instead of a normal one?

    We have a WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The gasket was just a hair small and one corner was creating a vacuum leak. R)

    Didn't leak when I put it on the first time... :rofl:

    I had it on there for several months, no problems. Musta taken the carb off for some reason and it didn't line back up right. Then when I took the intake off and painted it, the gasket was repositioned, thus the problem lessened.

    It's like some European Circus going on there. R)

    See, there were several of us that said it would be something really stupid and simple that fixed it.

    I don't feel too bad about it. No one else mentioned it. R)
