Hey All. Here's a 'couple images of my '78 CJ-7 with her flat fenders. They cost close to nuthin' in materials, and took about four hours to build. They are nice and crooked 'cause I was in a hurry and forgot to stick a level on the 1.25" 1/8th in. 90 I used to frame 'em up with but they get the job done. I was more particular on the rest of the "body" and pan structure from the cowl back and it's almost square back there. :) She's a hoot to drive w/the AMC 304. -K-

I like it, and I have been wanting to build a rig with a tube to frame them up. I want to go all the way through the firewall with the tube and connect it to the downbar and then wrap the other end around and connect it to a grill loop.

Just a few little plans for the future.

    R) She likes to hoark up some coolant when I shut 'er down after a run across town. She doesn't run hot as far as what the temp gauge is letting on, and doesn't act hot (ping/knock other assorted nastiness) but the radiator will most likely be replaced soon since it's kind of crusty and shedding fins. Thanks for the props, it's always nice to get positive feedback after many sweaty days down in the garage. Close call (sorta :) ) on the location. Those images were snagged up on Market street, up at my buddies VW shop. It's good to know a State Inspector!

Tool box will be relocated to the rear platform so I can mount the passenger seat so the "hotties" can ride "shot-gun" to da beach. :)

:) I pulled, flushed, pressure-tested (and found the leak), and soldered the old girls radiator yesterday. She now runs cooler (go figure:rofl: ) and no more hoarking. Turns out the radiator is in pretty good condition overall despite a few shaggy fins. -K-
