I'm currently running 31's but thinking of moving up. My 80' cj7 needs some new meats and I thought of putting my 31's on it and put the bigger on my 74' cj5. I have a 1" poly body lift on stock springs, thought of possibly 2.5" springs especially if it would help my ride some. I'm definetly going to get some new shackles, my stock ones are pretty ragged but I dont want to go over an inch of lift with the shackles.

Seems like going up 1 unch would be a waste of time. 33's at least.

I am debating on wether to go from 32x11.5 to 33x12.5. I like the width of the 11.5's. Maybe 33x10.5??

Dont get me wrong that 1" is not written in stone I am open for any advice. I like minimum lift and maximum tire but I cannot cut my baby. I personally do not like to go to long with the shackles. I am thinking about a 2.5" spring especially if it helps the ride some, if that is possible. I have a set of wide track axles from an 86' 7 im going to swap in if and when I get the chance, 4.10 gears, that should help with the bigger tires. That too is another question with the wide tracks and a 12.50 tire depending on backspacing I guess that could push them a good ways out past my flares. Decisions decisions the life of a jeeper

A lot of guys around here run 33's with no lift. Yes they get some rubbing, and a few even did a 1" body lift.

The 33x10.50 are great tires. I was either goingto go with those or 34x9.50's. I went with the 34's They are great tires. Lots of traction.

33x10.5 BFG MT's are a great tire for these Jeeps, nice and light, not too wide, not too thin, tuck nicely and are easy to steer with no power steering.

How loud are they on the road and do they get real "lumpy" from sitting? Love the size but have been really happy with my radial SS and am nervous to switch.

I'm running BFG Mud 33 x 12.50's w/ 4" springs, 1" shackles and 1" body lift, and I just put wide track axles in.

I'm happy with the tires, the height and clearance, but I'm still not happy with the 4:10 / 4 cyl. combo.

You probably already thought of this but depending on your engine you may need to look at your gear ratio b4 you go to a larger tire. (just my 2 cents)
