I am thinking of buying this tub. I am not that smart on the different tubs and was wondering if someone can help me identify it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's a severely modified MB or GPW tub judging by the glove box and rear storage compartments. I want to say GPW as My dad's GPW had compartments like that but the military guys could confirm one way or another.

I thought it was a modified MB tub. It looks like they filled in the tool indents. The guy wants $500 for it and my rolling chasis is a mix of parts anyway.

believe only the GPWs came with the rear storage.

Both had rear storage. The Willys lids were flat while the GPW were embossed.

Looks like a 43-44 MB tub with lots of changes hiding some clues.

Hi Dirtyjeeper, are you from the Great Lakes area? I think I saw that tub posted on Detroit CL. That tub would be cool sitting on top of a Sand rail with paddle tires

Could be an M-38 tub. I don't believe that WW-II jeeps had a glove box.

My bad. I realized that this morning. Another thing I realized is that the M38 had a removable guage cover plate. The civilian 3A does not.
