ok i have got all the brake components removed and want to start replacing the lines. the connection point from solid line to bendable line is at a mounting bracket. since i am replacing lines i just cut the line at the wheel cylinder and left the tube hanging. now. how do i remove the connection at the hanger. it spins. do i need to just cut the bracket off and fab new one when ready to reinstall? the backside of the flare nut just spins and there isn't anything to grab a hold of. thanks

There should be a clip holding the fitting on the bracket. Typically, the hose connection is held in place while turing the steel line connection with a flare nut wrench. This picture might help.

well that makes total sense and i believe that is the situation. it is raining now so i cant make it to the garage. it is truly awesome that i can ask a random question and not only does it get answered so promptly but with a damn picture. thanks

The first thing you should do is get a mechanics service manual, thats what I did and it was the best 40$ I ever spent!
