Yeah, it is called the pioneer valley. I haven't gone offroading in a while because the jeep I use is getting some work done. I need to de-micky-mouse-inize it. ;)

Yes you are from western Mass. I am about 45 minutes north north west of you in Savoy. Do they call where you live the pioneer valley? Do you every go offroading? If so we should hook up and wheel somewhere.

Thanks for the heads up! Since going to the U4WDA winter convention, Hurricane, I've scored a T18 from a '77 cj5. Dropping that in and burning on Hollbrook long leafs. As soon as I burn through these 31's I'll go tall and skinny.

I like the 34x9.50's I run them with American Racing 767 Steel 15x7 rims. I will get some rubbing when I crank the wheel all the way over. Other than that I don't have any. As for the lift It looks to be a previous owners cob job. Now it is pretty well stock. The tires fit well. I am going to put in a Black Diamond 3" lift in the spring. You could run the 34's with your current set-up I think as long as you don't do rock crawling everyday.

      Ahoya!

I am interested in running taller skins, now that my gearing problem has been resolved. My '73 was geared 3.73, scored 4.27 junkyard gears, rebuilt, regeared and locked now. In searching the site for backspacing, I came across your post,"The 33x10.50 are great tires. I was either goingto go with those or 34x9.50's. I went with the 34's They are great tires. Lots of traction. " Steel wheels or aluminum, what size, any rubbing? How much lift? I've been running super lift 1" for ten years with 31x10.5.

      Thank you for your time.
