I am a member of the county ESDA here in Springfield, IL. ESDA stands for Emergency Services and Disaster Agency. Thats the name all the county agencies changed to after Civil Defense was abolished. At one time the agency had a 1954 M38A1 painted white with the same logo on it as my avatar photo. That Jeep now belongs to the assistant chief who bought it from the county for the exhorbitant price of $50. I decided I wanted to restore my Jeep like that one, so it will be my take on what it would have looked like if the county bought it new. Since we do all types of rescue for the county and my Jeep will be used for that when it's finshed, I thought Civil-D the rescue jeep would be a cool name. I also collect Civil Defense things.
