I still need to make a run up the hill and check your jeep out. Steve is going to need a post roll over shake down...... Maybe in a couple weekends.....

While the paint was drying on the Bluetooth speaker mount, I started on more cage spreader bar storage.
I have had issues in the past with my wallet and cell phone getting soaked in the Jeep. In the last couple months I’ve been out in some pretty crazy thunderstorms. We’re talking about the kinda storms where the inside of the window gets wet with the bikini top on. Big hogs gotta die no matter the weather....

This will be up between the cage spreader bars... near the window frame. HIGH AND DRY!!!

No problem. I've got a lot of stuff to get straightened out in the garage anyway. I'll be up there on June 5-7. Only 1 month until it's full time..Whoo hoo!

Overhead storage for phone/wallet is done for now. This should keep them high and dry in thunder storms. We’re headed out this evening..... 100% chance of showers..... hogs will be going crazy!

Is the top just open on your tray? I really like your design!

For now it’s just open. I have an idea for a lid.... but it’s rare that I don’t have some sort of top on the Jeep.

More tidbits getting finished up. I’ve had several instances where I needed a flashlight and it was either dead from getting clicked on...... or missing all together. :censored:
I picked up the clip from McMaster Carr. 1400 lumen led flashlight. Wanted a stream light but couldn’t justify the $$$. This light is way bright, 3 levels and strobe for emergencies.

The final piece to the shelf finally arrived. The cargo net is sized for a hitch carrier. Fits the trail shelf perfect!

XJ bump stops added to the rear. May end up shaving a little bit off of them after forklift test this evening.

Do they match the stock holes? It looks a bit bigger from the picture, but can't quite tell.

Not a match. I did use one of the stock holes on mine. Had to drill the other.

I did the same thing. Used one hole and drilled a fresh one. It’s important to remember to locate the bump stop slightly behind the axle centerline. As the spring compresses the axle moves rearward.

ITLKSEZ Hope for the best, prepare for the worst

Use caution before trimming. They are very flexible. Impact resistance is different than slow flex resistance.

Last night I threw wheel spacers on and did a little flex testing. The front spacers are 1.5" and the rear are 2". I was concerned that the new 33's would contact the rear quarters. Currently they clear by 1/2" or so....... but the forklift flexing does not recreate the side loading or shock loading that you get in real life. I am going to build some bolt on contact pads for the top of the axle so the bump stop will be more effective.
