thanks i saved him the cost of a new part and did the whole job for what he was quoted just for parts.I would have pulled it to some degree if i was replacing it anyway.

This pile of junk. I've had it for over 20 years. Had it on the road at one time with a nasty SB in it. Now it just sits there. I figure I'll get to it this Summer as this old Jeep I have has got the juices going again.

Iv got two new projects going. A mini chopper and a mini snowmobile. The chopper is just going to be super simple no suspension little Briggs and regular clutch with a band brake. Its going real quick.
The snowmobile is using old snowblower tracks and the front suspension is all custom i actually cut it off an old project so its already pretty much done except im going to modify the steering a bit. I may or may not build tracks for it.

‘53 F250 Which is the 50th anniversary year for Ford, last year for the flathead V8.
I pulled the old flaty and in the process of rebuild.

Lucinda (the Jeep) has taken the front burner space in the shop. Once I get her going again,
I’ll get back to work on the Ford. Here’s a pic of the motor pulled and the condition it sits in today today.

A couple years ago we needed a vehicle to tow our Jeep with, so I bought this E350 5.4L commuter van.
Then I decided to modify a few things. Scratch built the bumper on the front. High top from junkyard. Added Solar, 2" suspension lift, etc.
Built out the interior with garage built cabinets, an Engel fridge, sink, 10 gal fresh water, etc. Couch in back coverts to Queen size bed. Upper is all storage. Cabinets are all maple ply with formica veneer. The Dobie is my baby girl. She always camps with us.
Awning with LED lighting makes a great outdoor living space. There's another row of lighting next to the van, but its too bright with it on too.
Started with a used bumper on the rear, then built the swing arms, added rear lighting. A few custom stickers to make it look like a factory effort.
I did all fiberglass, welding, wiring, plumbing, cabinetry, upholstery, etc required to modify everything on this van. Besides the obvious upgrades, I also installed a new crate motor and trans. A fun little project overall.

We camp in it regularly, with and without the Jeep. We'll be dry camping out at Anza Borrego, CA with a bunch of buddies the weekend after next. Towing the CJ5 out to play with.

Still have a couple minor mods planned, but I've been distracted by the CJ5 instead. May steal the seat heaters I bought for it and install in the CJ5.
