Front Differential Breather Leakage

Took the JEEP out for a spin today, drove for several miles. When I pulled in the driveway, I noticed a stream of oil leaks behind me. Turns out, it is coming from the front diff through the breather. I took it apart when I built the JEEP and cleaned out all the gunk. Is there something I can do to stop the leak?

    My ideas...

    1. Lockout hubs. This would prevent the front diff from working, heating up, and leaking its oil. While this makes sense and is undoubtedly smart anyway, I think it would detract from the authenticity.
    2. Put on a hose that goes further up, which may prevent the oil from finding its way out the top.

    I'd do both.
For your Jeep, I'd be on the lookout for a nice set of vintage hubs. I don't think it would detract from your authenticity at all, especially since they're an easily removed bolt on item that was often dealer installed.

Lockomatic Hubs were dealer-installed new in 1957 on my CJ5. So they can be considered authentic.

On the other hand I never, ever, unlock them.
