I Can't Leave Well Enough Alone

I did some early morning scrounging and found the nice set of cutlass hubs I used to have on Ted back when he was all stock. I think this cj5 needs them.

 

They would look better for sure..

 

Took it out in the snow today!

 

I see what you did there! Hijacked my Christmas card for next year!

 

You can have visitation rights.

 

I think he wants conjugal visits.

 

Boy, that's a nice Jeep right there.

 

I'd keep the patina and build a super reliable sleeper.

 

Mechanically it is already done.

Here are some pictures showing just how original it is.





The original wiring is in real nice shape







The original hood catch is still intact and works





Ted is the only other jeep that I have seen that still rocks the hand wiper.



The windshield lollipops still have the zinc plating as well as the windshield latches.



Under the body still has the original silver paint







The dash has no extra PO added holes!





And it still has the original floor drains with the original thumb screws!

 

Even the correct rare "8" speedo!

Yep! That is one of my favorite parts of this jeep!

 

That’s what I plan on doing. Just make it a nice driver. I don’t want to modify it because something this original and clean is hard to find.
