I live in Miami and I have embarked in the great adventure of rebuilding a 62 CJ5. Other that the usual suspects that sell parts on the net I have not found a source of used parts locally, like a U-Pick or a salvage yard that carries this vintage. Can anyone share some knowledge about it? Maybe a local forum or club? Anything? Thanks a lot!

Sorry to say, good luck! I've lived in the Upper Keys over 20 years, and my folks have been in been in West Palm for 40 years. I know most all the salvage/junk yards in between. Its rare to see any Jeeps at U-Pulls, let alone anything from prior to the 1980s. I have seen less than 6 Jeeps in this category in the past 20 years in the south Florida yards, including a couple wagon/trucks. Most of the early Jeep parts/vehicles surface occasionally on Craigslist, often over in the Ft Meyers or up in the Orlando/Ocala areas.
All the south Florida Jeep clubs are Wrangler vintage and newer. A close friend of mine founded BackCountry Jeepers, but it is all late model. There is one early CJ in that group. There used to be a 4wd shop in Davie that sometimes worked on early CJs, and even had an FC170 for sale some years back, but that shop closed up 4 or 5 years ago.
There are a half dozen early Jeeps in the Keys, not including my small collection of junk. Every now and then an early CJ pops up in the south Florida Craigslist, but they generally are junk or very high priced.
Old Jeeps are very scarce down in these parts!

Thanks a lot for your answer! I guess ebay, Craigslist and the usual suspects (kaiser, walks, etc) will have to do.
