    Gents,
I installed my PS pump and it's not really lining up with the closest pully ( to crank.)
Can I run one belt from crank, to WP, to PS pump, and the other to crank, WP, and alternator?
Or , do I need to remove material from triangle bracket to get it closer to engine?

    Thought?

    What engine is this on?

I do not know what your situation is but on my dauntless V6 I had to use a double groove pulley on both crank and ps pump, with the ps pump only using one groove.
The wp and alt both use the outer crank groove, the ps pump uses the inner groove on both.

I see in your profile info that you have an odd fire 231 so we will presume that is the engine application.
The closest I can show is how my 225 belts are routed.

Yes, I have a 231 OF. It has a 3 groove pulley on crank. Inner groove is slightly smaller diameter than outer 2. If I put belt on inner crank pulley and only PS pump, the belt rubs on back side of middle groove. I think I can run middle groove to PS pump for one belt, and W.P., crank, and alt for outer groove.

IF, I do run it that way, is it customary to only run PS off of crank, and not W.P. with one belt?

    Thanks,
    JT

Mine is set up like ozfin’s. I had a 3 grove pulley on the crank and cut the outermost one off so i didn’t have to buy such a large spacer for the fan.

I have seen many setups with the power steering pump belt driven by itself from the crank pulley so I believe it would be acceptable for your 231. That being said, I do not have any direct experience with the 231...maybe others will comment here.

I made three spacers to move the pump to an outer pulley groove. Works fine.
