WTB Hp Scientific Calculator

    I can't help with finding a calculator, but here is my unsolicited perspective:

    I wouldn't wasts my money if I were you. I'm not sure he's going to need much more than a basic scientific calculator for freshman chem. These are going to be basic calculations. Maybe a few logs or series, but nothing that can't be done on a $25 TI. Maybe if he's headed to chem engineering he might use it later. But any advanced math he's going to do will either be outside the realm of what a calculator can do, or be done in MatLab, Wolfram alpha, or other programming type math software environment.

    Even in my Chem E masters program (Grad 2016) I never needed a graphing calculator, and I only used some of its capabilities a few times in undergrad (chem 2005).
