    Possibly something to do with the engine being pulled? Drain the coolant and oil and leave in those containers for recycling?

    It would be a 6 lug Dana 44 with a drivers side pumpkin in that vintage.

    For some reason I cant look at the pics attached so I cant tell what year it is. What years were 44 passenger side pumpkins found on the Wagoneer?

    Some quick web searching indicates 1974 to 1979 Wagoneers, Cherokees and J trucks had passenger side drop open knuckle 44s. Width can vary based on narrow/wide track or truck. Standard width is 58 or 60. I've seen both noted. A tape measure would be the most reliable way to find out.
