I saw a de-wrap video and there seemed to be a lot of areas of water under the vinyl.

Powercoated snow plows don't last either. I think it's planned obsolescence.

I think vinyl buffs pretty easily, and for sections that actually got scratched off, you can band-aid a patch over the top. Not perfect, and probably not as easy as spray paint. But I still think the prep work is a lot easier with vinyl than for paint. Pretty much no sanding as far as I can tell, and no primer

My toy hauler is 20 years old this summer. Mrs. SoCalNickG and I love the trailer and it’s held up well BUT the exterior looked bad. We had it wrapped last fall. Just under $10,000 to wrap. 3819585E-87FD-49AB-BCB7-CCC1AF5980C5.jpeg

I have trouble wrapping presents in a nice square box. I can't imagine tackling something as convoluted as a CJ.

    nickmil In mothballs.

R&P built an XJ years ago as a rolling billboard As the body wasn’t really nice enough to paint. The off road scheme and colors looked really good. The wrap hid a lot of flaws from 20 feet or more. The windows were wrapped also and we were told to not open them or the wrap would peel off. I’ve seen a lot of vehicles that came out real nice and held up well but they were not used off road in any respect. A former co worker’s son owns a business that does the wrap and his work comes out very nice. He is also particular about the condition of what he will wrap.

My buddy wraps cars. Gonna wrap the 68...give it a go. Worst thing I can do is spend 300 bucks, waste a day making it look good from 20 feet.
