Well now that the Jeep is up and running and i am trying to mediate the leaks here and there. An annoying one that is happening is the Draft tube on the side valve cover. The oil is dripping from the tube down the oil pump bulge and onto the floor. I am going to eventually go to a PCV setup but can i just angle the draft tube up to stop this or will it cause another issue? Right now it is below being parallel to the ground and it is just dripping. Will it just drain back into the engine if it gets angled up a bit?

Would that not also carry dust and grit particles? Perhaps an add-on air filter would be needed, such as Harleys and hot rods sometimes use.

That would be a problem. I guess to buy the PCV system soon.

That’s what I was going to say. Just get the parts and do it right….

Yep. I suspect there are a lot of complete, used systems floating around in various members' parts stashes here. Put a WTB in the classified.

Maybe there is some crud in the valve gallery clogging the oil return ports, or the cone screen may be missing. Oil shouldn't build up in there enough to run out the draft tube.

You would be better off to install the proper PCV system, but if the oil return ports are plugged the PCV system might start sucking in oil.
