I've got a 62 CJ6 with a F134 that has sat in my garage for 3 years being slowly worked on... Hoping in the next month or so get it running again and on the road.

It's been a while since someone added a "6". Intermediate, not early. 304, T15, D20, power steering, Whitco top, original interior. 1972_jeep_cj6_1564519757891c3e7bebd2b9IMG_1481_DxO-940x696.jpg

Here is the CJ6 that I started way back in 15, I think.

I'm happy with it, but there always projects. Hopefully power Saginaw will be next, and a d30.

Well last year I had three CJ-6s and now I'm down to just one. It's compostwerks 62 Perkins. Sold two to Mr. Sullivan in NH. I just covered it up for the winter, cuz I have the M416 and 46 in the barn this winter to finish them up.

Resized_20191129_111257.jpeg Resized_20191129_111257.jpeg Farm Jeep Willy is a 1958 CJ6 with a custom 2x5x1/4" frame, Aqualu body, swapped in 225, SM465, Dana 20, Scout 44 front with Ford internal spline hubs, Chevy spindles and backing plates, narrowed to early Jeep width, and a Dana 60, also appropriately narrowed. 15x8 Wheel Vintiques with 33x10.50x15 BFG All Terrains, Warn VR8000 winch, and now weighs around 4400# I think. It tows a camper regularly, has towed a 6500# skid steer on a two axle trailer a few times, used in the brush as the paint can attest to, and is waiting for power steering and brakes. Its Rhino lined inside because I have 4 children who love playing in it and using it like a jungle gym.

My take is that they are popular with the classic jeep crowd, but not sought after like the 8s.

Probably against all rules, written and unwritten, but here is the basics
Started out as 1/8 in sheet metal. Cut to fit the "6" area (extra 20 in.) under the body. Don't remember the exact dimensions.
    not finished
    [IMG]

from underneath Its setting on conveyor belt, with the straps welded to the tank, and bolted to the frame
    [IMG]
this is a heat shield over the Flowmaster 50, and under the tank
    [IMG]
    tank solenoid
    [IMG]
tank top, fuel hose from filler neck and through the bed. bolted cutout is for access to the sending unit
    [IMG]
Holds a little over 9 gal. It has 2 (I think) baffles in each direction inside
