That second CJ back has a vented windshield. Photo of '69 model year from the hood reflectors?

Interesting that the Wagoneer has a full grill but in the top center that unit has the small grill.

Good eye! Looks like a pickup is in line--a 1969 Gladiator.

Did ‘69 have chrome hood hold-down latches?

Not chromed? Never would have guessed that. The zinc plating looks like poop after a while. Especially when exposed to road salts and other snow melting chemicals.

In this case, thank goodness for the ingenuity of the aftermarket to make chrome and stainless steel versions of this part.

Interesting. Also note it's the older windshield with wipers on top, bench seat, no step and looks like NDTs where the front Jeep has what appear to be Armstrong Norsmans

It seems the “Renegade” in post #7 has drawn a lot of controversy for not being a Renegade; wrong reflectors/side markers, hubcaps, wrong rims, etc. I believe I have an explanation, that it is actually a 1969 “462” as it was transitioning to the 1970 Renegade model. The final production Renegade probably required side marker lights by the time it went down the assembly line, and it was equipped with the KH steel rims by then.
I believe the 462 had nearly all the Renegade heavy-duty parts and equipment, so the Renegade just had a visual “upgrade” to differentiate the model from the previous 462.
These comments are added after seeing the posting of a supposed genuine 462 in the “eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist” section.

It looks like there is no consistent location for the “462” stickers. Either above or below the reflector on the rear quarter panel, or by the embossed “JEEP” and V6 badge on Johnny Cash’s Jeep.

    4: 4 wheel drive
    6: v6 engine
2: hold on with 2 hands? or maybe 2 barrel carb? Passengers may go number 2 in their underwear?

    Just wondering.
