Timing cover oil slinger?

    As for as the cam button is concerned IIRC my v6 needed the plastic button. My flaps sold me a metal button that would not fit. I found a very old parts house that had the plastic button in stock. the guy that worked there knew exactly what i needed.

    Joe, you are replacing the timing chain gears aren't you?

    If you need the cam button talk to McRuff. Bet he could machine you one....

    Yeah all this is stemming from my timing chain replacement project. I've got a Edelbrock double roller chain on order. The original cam button and spring are still in good shape also.

    Worried about screwing up my cover getting the old "housing" out. Do you press it out from the front, I didn't see a seam when I got the paint off. Can anyone expound on this "simple" process for a simple mind like mine please.
