    so fishing for ideas.

was thinking either old meyers, doors,

    or these doors.

I can put my Koeniq hard top doors on my soft top. Might be interesting - let me go check it out. I will try to get you pictures

Do you know I am making a top that will be metal on just the top, use metal doors but have all canvas in the back from the top down? I already have the top metal part and could use the Koeniq doors but will probably make my own so I can cut them half way to be compatible with Bestop softops

If you look in the picture you will note the normal hard doors are taller than the soft tops - that was what I was trying to show you. But they can be trimmed down and it would work - probably better than the soft doors to be honest

Thats exactly what I am talking about Cool pic.

Are you going to make those doors work with that top?

If so please keep us updated.

    Cool jeep

My plan was to make a full cage door with a hard door skin attached to it.

Swing out door roll cage kit

So the cadge/tubular frame would be the actual hard door frame and i would skin that and put a slide window in it

That is my plan with doors like yours and the like

    Tomatolane,

Full cage doors?............that might be a tall order to incorporate a door into a roll cage..........do we having openings in a cage system to access the vehicle? ...............Absolutely!
Why not build your cage and use a conventional door system? Keep in mind there is no support out near the edge of the Jeep body except 18 guage sheet metal...........if you want support you will somehow have to tie the cage into the frame with outriggers or the like.

I have not decided yet to be honest. I was thinking of using them, but I might just make my own since I have those as a pattern. But that is the general idea - I have the whole metal top pretty much finished also. I need to post pics of that sometime also

The reason I want to use a metal top is so I can put lights on stuff on it. I tend to keep my head protected from the sun anyway.

Yes the roll cage will tie into the frame when I start doing the cage Ill post the frame attachment.

Yes I will make the cage swing out

It is actually a swing out side bar, That I will attach a door skin too, seen a few Vega wagon drag cars done this way also

    Ill make something like this

I think the half cab is a modified version of the Koenig like I posted the doors. Mine does not look like that but of the half cabs I have seen it is the closest. It could be a modified version of the old Meyers

tomatolane, that looks like an export model with the ventilating windshield and right hand drive. The car in the picture is driving down the wrong side of the road, but the Willys logo is correct. Bet the top is made by someone out of the country

I just bought a full cab and doors like the one in the first pic last week. Plastic roof, hinged doors.

If you dont mind, may I ask how much you had to give for the top?

I gave $250 for the doors, roof, and hood. The tub was junk, so we cordless sawzall'ed the top of the tub off along with the windshield posts. It's much easier to dismantle those rusty little bolts at home than in a junkyard. The door bottoms need work, the door glass is cracked but complete. All 3 rear windows (2 side, 1 rear) are complete and not broken. Also ended up with the glove box door.
