Started putting some parts together to check fitment. (No welds yet)

I can see some work is needed to get the side panels to fit right

The rear floor came warped bad so I need to be careful to get it all straight

If you all can take a look to see if it all looks correct

My plan is once I get the tailgate surround in I'm going to spot weld everything from the riser back, then fit and attach side panels, the cowl and floors. Any thoughts ?

check that it is square seeing as you are starting in the rear floor section. i use self drilling screws to test fit everything I just weld the holes after it is tacked together.

I screw everything together, first. If you have to move anything, will be easier than grinding welds. I used metal stud framing screws, self drillers, truss head. Easy to weld up a screw hole or fasten though the hole you are going to spot weld.

Started the messy job of getting all the old paint off. Still trying to figure out what to do with that sunken panel. Torch idea didn't do anything. Might be easier to do it over ... ugh..

ive used a weld in the center of the low spot about an inch or so as hot as you can go without melting through as soon as you finish the weld hit it with cold air or a cold wet rag.careful grinding that weld it can stretch again.
