    nickmil In mothballs.

To add support to the body in the middle of the door well to keep that area from collapsing and or cracking in the door well area.

because that's the area for under seat gas tank . they didn't change body mounts when tank moved to rear . I don't see no reason to remove mounting bolt in tool box area :D:D

    :iagree:

This has come up before although most people are actually wanting to know why there's no mount on the drivers side & if they should add one, not remove the one from the passenger side :D

Actually I believe this is a carryover from the M38A1 that has a gas tank that extends below the floor level.

well the last trip I kinda pushed the exhaust up a little climbing a ledge, and the pipe is real close it taps on the mount ,,,
,I'm building my sunken tool box in the 6 section and see no need for that mount

Hey Steve, If it was not for the fuel tank under the drivers seat I think you would have seen another mount there under the tank............with a stock chassis and the flex that is inherent I think the extra mounts are a benefit to keep the body from flexing..............just my $.002.
