Going tomorrow morning to pick up my wife's 2015 Eco Green Trailhawk. Given the limited seat time during a few test drives, I think I'm g0ing to really like the car. It's a V6, we drove a Limited, which is nice, but I like the full size spare with the TH, the more aggressive tires for snow driving, and the overall look of the TH. I will however, paint the red tow hooks black.

The nine speed will be interesting and it we'll see how it performs. The 3.2 is very similar to the 3.6 so I have no real concerns about the engine. All the electronic gizmos and stuff will take some getting used to. The heated steering wheel will be nice on cold days. And I really like the heated seats, Been thinking about putting them under my Bestop seats covers in the CJ5...

Anyways, pics of the TH, and the whole fleet will be tomorrow, four drivable Jeeps in the herd now, all Jeep, all the time.

Hey - four. Pretty soon you will need your own section.

Seriously though - I have seen John's and they are very nice! Congratulations!

Does it have the start stop technology? We got a new one the other day that did. Just read 3.2 will have it standard on certain packages. 200 with 2.4 will too.
My wife likes hers. We got the 2.4. She hit 33mpg for a short time:)

Its got the stop/start function, and a turn off option for that. No CD player though, at that was something that never even crossed my mind looking at it, I just expected it to be there, slightly disappointed with that. But it does have multiple plug ins for MP3, and a flashdrive / USB port. Put a handful of miles on it today, waxed it and leather conditioner on the seats. I like the floor mats, no need to get husky liners or weathertech mats.

I snapped a few shots of the whole herd:

Yeah my wife has been eyeballing one as well but after the WJ fiasco I don't have any $$$ left right now.. It's starting to grow on me some.. I just have to get over the fact that it's not the XJ and deal with it.. haha.. Nice man, I like the jeep lineup!

I'll have to make a flash drive with a good playlist..... Or see if I can get an adapter for my Ipod Shuffle I do enjoy the Roadhouse and Outlaw country stations, and not having commercials.....

Averaged 23.9 mpg on the first half tank...... constant 32 mpg at 60 mph on the freeway WAY better than the Commander

I may look into a receiver hitch.

Played around in the driveway with 4low and Ediff lock, getting the Edifflock off and the 4low off should be easier. But I don't really imagine using 4low very often in this. Turning radius is very tight which is very nice.

Road trip today, 285 miles, averaged 25.0 mpg. Mixed highway and two lane. Efficiency is better at 55 mph, at that speed averaged in the low 30's, at 65pmh average around 23-24 mpg. Not bad, but expected better. Never really got into 8th or 9th gear, stayed in 7th, but lugged around 1,700 rpm's at that speed. I think you'd have to going 80-85 mph downhill to engaged 9th gear......

Even in manual shift mode, it won't get into the tall gears, darn car thinks too much on it own.

I have to be around 78 or 79 for mine to get into 9th. And, Yes, downhill does help getting into 9th. ;)

As the transmission completes its learning curve it will get into 8th more. I am at 17K miles now and really enjoy driving it.

Got it into 8th today, think I was tooling at about 80 mph.....

    I really like this car.

I want to say the 9 speed has 3 overdrive gears. The adaptive learn procedure for them is a pita. The more its driven the better it will drive.

The 9 speed has 4 overdrive gears. 6th through 9th. 5th is one to one.

You are right. Was thinking of the 8 speed.
    6th. .808-1
    7th. .699-1
    8th .58 -1
    9th .479-1

The 9th gear ratio is why it is rarely ever seen while driving. I have to be going at least 80 for it to shift and then it has to be on a slight down hill. As soon as you level off it shifts back to 8th. I don't mind. The gas milage is good even without it.
