1962 CJ5 Michaels Project

    Speedometer was stuck breaking the cable ! Drove the jeep a couple places no problem , charging great !

    Sounds like you're ironing out the issues and getting closer to reliability!

    Yeah it is getting there . Every time i go towards the mountains i find something else . I have no odometer and i have speedometer bounce!

    Blead the brakes again , drilled some drain holes . I got the speedometer bounce down to 1\8 to 1\4 of an inch . Cleaned it with alcohol swabs and carb cleaner .It is very accurate according to gps.

    Did some undercoating on the grill and painted the sides . When i get some cooler days i will prep the radiator and paint ,also prep and paint the frame Pics to follow

    aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

    Did you spray primer on the grill or did you do something else to it? I've never been successful priming and painting anything that does not seem to start rusting again very soon. Looks good.

    Primed the painted . Paint helps keep the rust away !

    I think i have the starter figured out . Went to put it on and i am missing the top bolt ?????? Also should i paint the radiator ???

    Well my starter rebuild is working for now . I got the jeep to run today . First time since the end of may .
