They create all this fuss over them missing out on $50 worth of sales tax when we buy from an overseas supplier.

An example of why I am inclined to get items from the US rather than local.

We have limited options and I reckon we get ripped off.

Say I want a plain old rubber shifter boot for the gearshift.

From rockauto in America $5.62 US dollars
From Jeepcity a local spare parts firm in Australia $78 Aus dollars = to $52.84 US dollars
