Has anyone mounted an m8000 with a Saginaw setup? curious as to how the offset is done. If it hasn't been done I'll be off into uncharted territory and have to document it for you guys. I'm curious how far offset the winch has to be if at all, I have the winch and a box mount from a postal, I just need to bite the bullet on a box to mock it all up.

M8000 fits easily along side it.

I realize I'm running an intermediate, so I can't set the winch down in the frame, but even if I could the P/S box would be in the way, so I offset the pto shaft, and use a chain drive. Just an idea.

If you position the fair lead in the center of a stock 4" bumper.........which lowers the winch, it will hit the Sag gearbox.........most of those later winches are designed to be mounted on top of the frame rail rather than between the rails........which is OK and then should clear the gear box? ...........Unfortunately , the high mounted winch will also block air to the radiator....................even the narrower 8274 at 16.5 " wide will have clearance problems if dropped in between the frame rails with a Sag Gear Box..........but will fit with some surgery.
