3b Half Cab????

Are they out there? Hard to find? I imagine they are specific (or "splific" as Eddie says) to the B and nothing else interchanges. Thanks

 

I've seen a half top (hardtop) on a 3b before, but I'm not sure if it was a factory produced top for that model. It had a fixed windshield frame, and a sheetmetal fairing (about 4") to bring the cowl sides flush with the rest of the body. I think the windshield glass was the same width as a CJ5.
From the upper windshield down, it looked like a Dj3a full hardtop (the type with the fiberglass top cap), only half length. The half top had a metal top cap.
It was not a pleasing look on that poor 3b.

I can only imagine. Ugly gets uglier. But, if I put a plow on this B for the winter, I'm gonna want some cover and heat and prefer to heat the smallest area possible.

Should have kept the full 3B hard top I had and just cut it in half.

 

Theres one on a 3B in the next town over. It doesn't look terrible.

 

I have a half cab. It came off a 3A, the top went right on my 3B and required very little tin work in mating the doors to my windshield frame. It's been off and laying outdoors for a while. Glass is intact,windows roll up, junior west coast mirrors, lockable door latches and needs some tin straightened.

One of my favorite wheeling trips ever was around Towanda, back in '94-ish.

I’ve always had a thing for the real honest looking 3bs like that red one someone posted recently. I test drove one once that a guy had for sale in a mining town here in Montana, Virginia city. It was cool but at the time I was searching for a Cj5 and didn’t pull the trigger.

Interesting side note when I called the guys number I was standing in front of the 3b reading the number off the for sale sign. He says keys are under the seat take it for a ride and call me back. I thought that was cool, and trust worthy.

 

MrT..........ever come south from Towanda? You're about 4 hours from me. Do you have the filler panel that extends from the bed up to the bottom of the half cab?

I like that green B with the hard top and trailer.

Not common but not impossible to find either. Not all were factory. Remember Sears sold tons of Jeep parts and accessories back in the day as did other sources.
