I gotta set my steering stops still, so I’ll get a WMS measurement in a few days. My heaters and stuff are coming in, so I’ll be fiddling with it anyway.

Adding some nuggets I found out in my internet travels:

Found out through some digging that the Roxor engine (M2DICR) is generationally derived from the IH B275. The B275 was natively mated to the T90 in the M&M CJ500. I'm gonna do some more digging, and hopefully get my hands on one of those bellhousings. If the M2DICR engine can be rigged up for mechanical injection (or not if you want a CRD), it could end up being a nice little diesel swap candidate without needing aftermarket adapters.

Yup. There is a review here in the Roxor section.

This is how I feel when people say made from Billet (you mean bar stock), a billet is a piece of unfinished unrolled steel from the mill.

Anyone here know what thread size the brake master cylinder has? 3/16 is just a bit too loose. Can't get a good gauge with my taps.

Try metric fastener. My seats took 8mm nuts.

This is what I was thinking... I'll give that a shot.

Were you able to figure anything more out on this.

I wonder if the roxor flywheel-flywheel housing from this new engine would work with the older ih motor to just use the whole roxor trans t case

I’ve been thinking bout buying some stuff to play with. If I could find a mechanical diesel that would work where this electronic one is I’d be all over it.

By all the digging and eye ball calculous I’ve performed, a 3 bolt VE pump should just bolt up.

The CR system on this engine is an afterthought. It’s been run with a VE pump for like 40 years.

Do you know the model number/ designation of the mech version.

Ahh I see, so this engine has a predicessor that was mechanical? That would be cool buy a long block and mechanical it and throw it in when my SBC dies.

Jrobz23 thanks again for all your replies and helpfulness.

Their MDI line all had VEs, which is what this engine derives from. In the US, some of their tractors had the same engine, in VE.

Do these roxors fit early CJs? Many parts swapping? Would be great to have a list of items that are interchangeable if anyone knows of anyone who has one..

    I have both - a 1957 CJ5 and a Roxor

It does appear than many mechanical parts would swap or could be made to work. Most of the body parts could take extensive modification to work and likely not worth it. People have already used the pedal, brakes, seating and steering setups with varying degrees of effort.

  18. I wonder what the price for a crate motor or longblock direct from Roxor would be?

They do sell service replacement engines but no crate engines yet. Something something epa.

Guys, I would look into the steering setup on the Roxor. I know it's an extra foot of WB, so not sure if the 81" Jeep will feel the exact same, but this setup is very nice down the highway. It tracks very well and just feels very nice. The gear is also rather slim and does not interfere with the winch plate.

    Def something to check out.
