Never Doing Another Project !!

What I told my wife until this followed me home. But not a full nut and bolt restoration like my CJ. Some new paint, cleaning and tinkering..... yeah right

















Been a bit busy "cleaning up things"

 

Today was floor fab day. The drivers side floor was cut out by PO so I just fabricated a new one. Not worried about period correct. Getting raptor liner and a rubber mat when done. Having done my share of grinding on my back on the CJ I opted for panel adhesive this time. After 24 hrs I'll remove the screws and work some magic with some seam filler

 

Did some fab work to fit a CJ speedo. Need to clean up the hole a bit yet

 

I've reached the good enough stage with the cab. Paint tomorrow, Inside will get epoxy primer then raptor liner mixed in the president red

 

Applied epoxy primer today, sprayed the door panels and roof in glacier white. tomorrow I'm going to tape that off and spray the president red. Oh yeah, one run in the door to wet sand out :-(

 

Looks pretty solid, good rig to invest your time in.

Check the frame rails between the rear of the cab and the spring shackle - they often crack there.

Obviously a bad leaker. Cleaned it up, changed all the seals and gaskets. All the gears where in perfect condition

 

I put in Herms dual MC kit. Also converting to 12 volt with electronic ignition. This is going to be a driver.
