Has anyone swapped a CJ6 frame for a Commando frame? If so, do you have any tips or pics of it? Thinking about doing this on my rig

Fully boxed frame. Spring perches are outboarded, so you'll have to sort that out with your axles. Body mounts will need shuffled. Cool platform if you don't mind some fab and welding.

Several of my old C101's had a mono-leaf rear spring. Those actually rode well on the street, and did fine on the beach. I think the Commando frame is a big improvement compared to the CJ frame.

I believe only the rear springs are out-boarded. SEEMS like it would be fairly easy.... but you know how that usually ends up. Lol

I have a 66 CJ6 on a Pre 72 commando frame. Front and rear springs are under the frame like a CJ, boxed frame, no so much flex. Makes the suspension work. Not much to the swap, pretty much nuts and bolts, been awhile. Good Luck!
