    So, I did a thing...
Out of “necessity” as I needed transportation while working in Japan. Decided on a RHD 2000 XJ Limited 4.0L. Great shape, zero rust, 78K miles on the original body and drivetrain as verified on inspection. Never owned one before so I figured what the heck...

    GREAT vehicles. The original SUV.

    Jealous.

Bring back and sell it to a rural mail carrier.

There is a company in lansing that imports those. Amazing how clean they are. Zero rust on mid 90s vehicles:cool:

Takes some getting used to driving them around

Finally able to get the baby BFG’s mounted yesterday. Had them shipped to my APO address in Japan... from purchase to delivery in 10 days with Amazon. No tax, no shipping! Much better than what was installed for the snow and general off road use we will see on the weekends.

    Ol' Reds new sneakers.JPG Hey Ya'll ,
Just finishing installing 4) brand new Pirellli M & S , 245 70 16's . PO wanted them gone. They are on Ford steel rims , with a 7" backspace. Put 1/2" spacers on , ET lug nuts , & center caps with a cool decal . Painted them Black. Did it all for 300.00 Scoots. This is after I R&R'd my rear leaf springs & installed Monro coil over shocks . What a Job that was ! I'd post pics , but this is the CJ Forum ?
Oh , what the Hell .....................

Looks nice! My son is always drooling after an XJ. And I see a fair number of straight ones around the Ozarks yet.

CONUS= Continental US. Yes, my CJ-5 had to stay in the states while I’m working in Japan.

Thanks , my Friend... sometimes I amaze myself at my naivety. Your XJ is in pristine condition, for it's year. Congratulations.

Am I now an “unquitter”? Sold the XJ yesterday in preparation for our repatriation back to the states. A great vehicle for sure without a single issue during the 10k miles we owned it for. Would definitely buy another one...

Back to Va. We kept our house there along with the shop, Jeep’s and motorcycles. And everything has been kept running by my son, so that’s a plus!!
