Starter Replacement For Jeep Commando V6?

    My 69 Jeep Commando V6 automatic came with a Prestolite starter and now I'm finding that the parts suppliers tend to list a Delco replacement. Are these two very different starters equally interchangeable on the Dauntless V6?
