Soooo the time has come to replace/rebuild the linkage on my Dana 20. It’s super sloppy and will pop out of low on occasion. It’s the later 76 and up style linkage in my 73 cj5. My question is is there a rebuild kit for this linkage that is better than the old crappy ball socket dohicky linkage? (Ie. heims and such.) I know there is a twin stick option out there but I do not want to dive into my transfer case internals to remove whatever would allow the twin sticks to function as intended. Could I still use the twin stick linkage and just use them as I would with a single lever linkage until I have the time/skill to go internal??

    Thank you!

  4. Just food for thought, I installed twin sticks on my dana 20 and left the interlock pills intact. I had sent the case to the transmission shop to install the low range kit and forgot to ask them to remove the interlock.

Anyways once it wore in after a couple hundred miles the twin sticks shift very smooth, much easier than the oem single stick. And I can do 2LO still, just can’t do front axle only for a front digg but I had no interest in doing that anyways.
