You'll be working within the limitations of your sub-compact box blade capability with "hard" soil conditions. But, cutting blade angle, speed, ripper shank use, and perhaps lastly, added weight to box blade for attempted down-pressure are in the equation of learning its capability.

You will find what soil conditions justify your time & attention. Patience in timing with soil conditions is a virtue.

Doesn't look like an option here.
The pre CJ5 agriculture jeeps had to remove the tailgate but the CJ5 changed it up to allow the rear seat to stay or a load to be in the bed.

Either way you are not up and above like an open station tractor.

I was just moving the bucket for a Farmall 806D.
I dropped the plow blade tossed a steel rod thru all the lower mounts and chained the top.

I tried scooping a 1/4 bucket. It dug well but lifted the rear wheels up when I went to back out. If the bucket were shorter with less arm it would have been fun... well as much fun as manual steering is.

Added a winch to my boom hoist. Makes it easier to lift things into my trailer or into a pickup now

Welded on a 2” receiver and made a mount for the winch

Attached the battery and control cable

It’s a 3500# winch. Boom is good for 1000# only

Makes it pretty long View attachment 4008379
