Can someone please share a pic of a properly installed gas pedal spring?
The kind that is a small 90 degree piece of spring steel.
My jeep has a rigged rtn spring from the carb to the air cleaner.
    Thanks

Sounds like it's a v6, I can't imagine running a return spring to the firewall mounted oil bath of a f134

.... I thought both had springs to the first linkage.
I should have both pics I'm looking now.

    Edit:
    Pics weren't already hosted but

Buick had a tab from the middle of the pull rod off the carburetor to a tab on the intake.

    boopiejones I can’t drive 55

The spring goes under the pin and is held in place by the tension between the pedal and floor.

That said, with my particular set up (v6 with Rochester 2G) I still need a throttle return spring on the carb as well.

Here’s a pic of the underside of the gas pedal on my ‘70 cj5 v6. You’ll have to ignore the debris.

The return spring on my 71 is the original configuration.

Chris, how was the spring rigged from the carb to the air cleaner? I had some holes in my air cleaner and was wondering what they were for. Maybe this explains them.

It was just hooked onto the clamp no holes drilled
